Are We There Yet?

Are we there yet?  You’ve heard it often from kids in a car while on a trip they are anxiously awaiting arrival.  We hear the comedy version on TV too.  Does the phrase resonate with you?  Are you saying the same thing silently to yourself on those things you are wanting?  These days can be challenging for many people.  Are we coming out of the recession?  Are we going to make it through?  Are we OK?  Are we going to see better days?  They all mean “Are we there yet?”  Childish though it may seem, if we set our passions down on paper and define that which we want to experience, we must also set down the indicators or markers to remind us that we are there or arriving.

If done in a present moment expression with the feeling of having attained that which we wish to experience we will be able to identify those things that we will recognize when our experience is brought forth.  By creating the markers or indicators that will let you know you are there, or well on your way, when you create your desires, they will become highlighted in your path just as the road signs do on our trips.  Passion City 100km/62 miles. etc and as you get closer, more signs will show how close you are really getting.  What most people forget is that whatever it is you seek, it absolutely will not arrive until you are ready for it.  If you are asking the question “Are we there yet?” you know you are not ready.  Change your thoughts immediately to idenitfy or remind yourself of the markers or indicators that bring you closer to your experience and focus there.  It is in the moment or in the now that we live and should be enjoying the trip!  It is what you are feeling now that matters.  If it is a tug in the heart, you must find a feeling that will relieve the tug to one of those markers that bring confidence that your desire is on its way.

Until next time….
