Newbies: Where to start! Well at the beginning, of course. LOL I was in the book store the other day looking to see what was new in their store. All the new books or most of them anyway are on Amazon first usually. However, not everyone buys or browses Amazon for their books. I live in a remote area and it is an hour’s drive to reach a book store, so I surf the net. In any event, there were no new ones for me in the store.
While browsing the shelves, a young lady was scanning the books for self improvement and she looked puzzled. My wife, Julie, was scanning with me and commenting on a couple of books and the young lady asked if we knew of the Vortex or something like that. I said yes, and began a simple discussion when she said she didn’t know where to start. I made a few recommendations from the selection available and suggested the best place to start would be to go to www.abraham-hicks.com. There she could get an understanding of the basics and even download the CD of the Teachings of Abraham. Then she could listen to it at her leisure. I suggested she listen over and over until she understood the 3 fundamental Laws of Attraction. Then for more information, she could go to www.drwaynedyer.com. She said she watched the Ellen De Generous show with Dr Wayne Dyer talking about his book “Excuses Be Gone”. With that, I gave her my card and suggested that I would send her some information free of charge, not even the cost of the stamp, if she emailed me to let me know where to send it.
The first law: that you attract everything into your life, the second law: you have the power to create the life you want, and the third, the most difficult for us all, the Law of Allowing. When you understand these, you then use your heart(your internal guidance system) to determine if your choices or creations in your life are feeling good, or feeling bad. If it feels good, go with it, if it feels bad, change your choices to a better feeling choice. It is that simple.
The biggest question that I get from most people is: “How do I get into the routine of feeling good with all this other stuff I have learned over my life?” Well, the best way I have been taught and the most simple is to “Live in the Now”. Yesterday is gone and you cannot change any of that, tomorrow is not yet here and you cannot change any of that, so the only thing left that you have any power of is “Now”. Every moment is “now” and that is all you have. So, by challenging your “now” and asking yourself: “What could make me feel better right now?” and then find a feeling that does. This is where the Law of Allowing is supreme. Allow all that is happening around you just be what it is. It is not yours if you choose it not to be yours and if your surroundings right now are not feeling good, then find something that does. We have been taught to “fit in” which means doing what others want us to do. There is nothing wrong in that as long as it feels good to us. If it doesn’t feel good with you, then don’t comply. Just be kind in your decline or bowing out of doing something you don’t want to do.
When you can get to the point of choosing your “now” moments, you are free and that freedom is exhilarating!
