Your subconscious mind had been filled with beliefs through conditioning all your life. It is said that the vibration of belief actually starts in the womb. Knowing that everyone who has had an influence on you through out your life, you can begin to understand what has molded you to what you believe today. To begin new beliefs, one must step out of their comfort zone and take some small risks in the beginning. By starting small, you can then build upon your confidence to grow in a new direction. As time allows, you can then enlarge the scope and take on things you never thought you would ever have tried.
If you are feeling like you have cabin fever, even though you get up each day and go to work, and “chop wood-carry water”, come home and do the same old, try something different. An easy way to start is to go to the Library near you and just look at the awesome amount of new opportunities. Here you can learn a new hobby, read about something you have never tried, browse titles to see what piques your interest. Make an honest effort to do something different. Another way is to join a community organization. There are many with low or no membership fees. Food bank volunteer, soup kitchens, helping seniors in so many different ways. Talk with the librarian to see if anyone is looking for some volunteer help.
Volunteering is a wonderful way to meet new people, try something different as well as becoming a servant to help others by giving a hand up. There is something about helping others that provides an inner feeling of contribution and joy. In your approach, do not be judgmental whether it is a new hobby, a book, a movie, an audio or volunteering. Do it because you want to grow. Remember, allow others to attract unto their lives that which they desire and is different from that which you desire. Celebrate the differences!
